Auto Accidents

Wrongful Death

The loss of a spouse or child is the most difficult experience a person can go through.  This is even more difficult when the loss is sudden and unexpected. When the deceased person is an adult, his or her spouse or children have the right to seek compensation when a loved one has died due to negligence of another. The spouse is required to share a portion of the proceeds from any legal action for wrongful death with the children, but is guaranteed a one-third of any recovery for wrongful death. When the death of a minor is involved, the right to recover belongs to the child’s parents.

This is despite the many safety precautions taken by motorcyclists when driving.  Motorcycle accidents are generally more likely to lead to catastrophic injury.

Nursing Home Injuries

Many residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities suffer from some sort of abuse or neglect. Neglect is the most common form of mistreatment. Examples of neglect include malnourishment, dehydration, and bed sores. Physical and psychological abuse are also frequent forms of mistreatment of the elderly because of the victim’s deteriorating physical and mental health, it is often difficult or impossible for a victim of nursing home, neglect or abuse  to report what is happening to them.
